-- O'Neill's Irish Pub first opened its doors on St. Patrick's Day in 1998. It was a dream created by Eoin O'Neill, who came to the United States from Dublin, Ireland. He realized that there was a need for the ultimate Irish experience in the Bay Area. His vision of an 'Authentic' Irish pub would be realized, when he stepped into San Mateo. The term 'Authentic' is a blend of a warm comfortable environment, and an expedient welcoming staff. It is creating a home away from home for our guests, and will provide the highest level of service excellence. The O'Neill's in San Mateo was a huge success, which maintains the highest Guinness sales on the Peninsula. Eoin O'Neill has pursued his dream further by establishing a sister location in San Francisco across from the ballpark. O'Neill's Irish Pub is a place where there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met. That is what we strive for, a pub you can call your own.
